Way to reach the hotels from the Ulsan Airport
You can reach the Lotte Hotel Ulsan from the airport by public transportation. It takes 15 minutes between Ulsan airport and Lotte hotel Ulsan. A convenient way of reaching hotel is to take a taxi right in front of the airport. By taxi, it takes about 10-15 minutes and it will cost less than 7,000KRW(10USD).     Ulsan Metropolitan City is a representative port city located in southeastern region of Korea, and the distance from Seoul to Ulsan is approximately 400 Km. 1. From Overseas to Ulsan
    From Incheon International Airport, Incheon
Take a limousine bus to Ulsan Intercity bus terminal at the Incheon International Airport. It takes about 5 hours to the bus terminal. Operation time is 07:40, 13:10, 18:00. Fare is KRW 39,600. Please refer to the website of Incheon International Airport, http://www.airport.kr/eng/airport/. Take a taxi to the Lotte Hotel Ulsan at the terminal. Taxi fare is about KRW5,000.
    From Gimhae International Airport, Busan.
Take a limousine bus to Ulsan Taehwa Rotary at the Gimhae airport. It takes about one and half hours to the bus stop. The limousine bus operates every hour. Fare is KRW7,400. 2. From Domestic
    From Kimpo Airport, Seoul
Taking an airplane is the fastest way to reach Ulsan. It takes about one hour to the Ulsan Airport. Take a limousine bus #1402 at the Ulsan Airport. The bus operates every 30 minutes. Duration is 15 minutes. But fare is KRW 1,300. Please check flight schedules to the domestic airlines.

    Hyundai Heavy Industry is general heavy industry corporation which produces 15% of total ship building of the world, and it has world best ship building industry.     Ulsan Factory is built on 5 million ㎡ of land, which is more than 1.5 times broader than Yeoido, and is the main factory of HyundaiMotors complete with five independent factory facilities. With nearly 34 thousand employees, this factory produces 5,600 cars a day on average. In addition, this factory has an exclusive wharf which is capable of berthing three ships with a 42,000-ton capacity at the same time.     SK which is the first oil refining company was established in 1962 and has grown with national economy. Ulsan factory is the center among the SK factories and it is the one of the largest factory in the world as a single factory. Ulsan factory ground is 25 in terms of scale and there are about 40 factories and 2,900 employees are hired in the area. It runs 24hours a day. SK vertically expanded its business from the oil refinery to the oil exploration and synthetic resins and SK make it possible to both domestic and foreign customers to meet the supply of a general-purpose chemical products.     Since it was founded, Poongsan has concentrated its capabilities on the development and mass production of copper-based alloys and defense products. This has contributed to the development of the Korean economy. Poongsan became a pioneer in the domestic fabricated copper industry after the completion of the Bupyung Plant in 1969. The completion of a fabricated copper plant with up-to-date facilities in the Onsan Nonferrous Complex Area in the early 80's has allowed Poongsan to supply mass-high-quality copper products to both domestic and abroad markets with international competitiveness. It is called Daewang rock because Queen Moonmoo of Shilla kingdom died to be a dragon for defense of the motherland like King Moonmoo the Great in the East Sea.

King Moonmoo left his will burying in the East sea, and the Queen followed him. She died to be a dragon and flied to the sky, then the dragon hided at Youngchu rock in Mt. Dungdae. From that time people called it Daewang rock. The north of this mountain is a cliff, so you can see the Ilsan bay at one sight and will be attracted by the waving East sea. At the bottom of this cliff there is a cave called Dragon.

 

    

Sinbulsan Falls Natural Recreation Forest, located in the Ulsan Mountain’s Alps, is a beautiful valley famous for its lush vegetation and spectacular waterfalls. There is “Paraeso Waterfall”, a picturesque display in the heart of the forest and remains a must-see for visitors. This deep and blue Paraeso Waterfall has a story that regardless of how hard the waterfalls, it won’t ever touch the bottom because it is so deep. There are also old Buddhist temple such as “Tongdosa” temple and “Seongnamsa” temple and pampas grass plain is located not too far away.

 

    The sunrise along the East Coast can be viewed earliest at Ganjeolgot Point in Daesong-ri, Seosaeng-myun, Uljin-gun. The breathtaking view of the sunrise can be seen a minute earlier than Homigot Point in Yeongilman Bay and five minutes earlier than Jeongdongjin in Gangneung. Ganjeolgot Point is in the spotlight as a new tourist attraction along with Jinha Beach and Seosaengpo Fortress. The lighthouse is located 20 minutes away from the entrance to Ulsan Nambu Ring Road.

    Passport and Visa:Any foreign visitor wishing to enter the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport. Visitors with confirmed outbound tickets may stay in Korea up to 30 days without visas. For those of some countries who require visa, please contact the Korean Secretariat. They will forward invitation letter to presenters with accepted papers only. Please contact the Korea Embassy locally first.

 

    Climate:Korean weather shows distinct seasonal changes. The climate of Ulsan is relatively dry climate affected by seasonal wind. Ulsan temperature is expected to range 25 to 28℃ (70~80°F) during the conferences. It is sunny, windy and scattered shower in Incheon. Relative humidity is 65~70%. The weather is subject to change. Incheon has the sunny weather in Korea, allowing tourists to enjoy their visit all year long.

 

    Geography:A city located 400km from the nation’s capital, Seoul, lies at 126° 37´ of east longitude and 37° 28´ of north latitude. San Francisco, Washington, Madrid, and Teheran are found on the same latitude.

 

    Electricity:In Korea, outlets for 220 volts 60 Herz are dominant. Always check the power supply before using your equipment.

 

    Currency and Credit Cards:The unit of Korean currency is the Won. Foreign currency and traveler's checks can be exchanged into Korean Won at foreign exchange banks and other authorized money exchangers. Credit cards, including VISA, American Express, Diners Club, Master Card and JCB, are accepted at major hotels, department stores, and large restaurants. The exchange rate is subject to fluctuation.

 

    Tax and Tipping:Value Added Tax (VAT) is levied on most goods at a standard rate of 10%. In major tourist spots, a 10% VAT plus a 10% service charge is added to the bills.
